Arise Prayer Summit:
One of the goals of the Local Church Initiative at CCIPHC is to pray. Last April 15 we had the first Hispanic Prayer Summit of the IPHC in USA. 58 people gathered in unity to worship and pray at the Cornerstone Conference Training Center in Browns Summit, NC. We thank the Lord for the group that attended. We thank the Lord for the group that attended. The group included pastors, church members, one church from Virginia and the National Director of the IPHC Hispanic Ministry, Dr. Luis Avila.
Hispanic Women's Convention:
The Hispanic programing of the year 2023 moved us to the Hispanic Woman’s Convention, held last May 20. It was a time for them to be “Strong In The Lord” as it is said in Ephesians 6:10. An atmosphere of worship, seeking God’s face in prayer, listening to His living word and togetherness brought the attendants to developed stronger connections with the Lord and among themselves. 122 ladies attended the Convention.
Hispanic Youth Retreat:
One hundred and fifty young souls praising God, some of them saved and restored by Jesus during the retreat (Ashley and Steven among them). Fourteen walked to the altar to say “send me Lord, I want to serve you”. All of the 150 young students were hungry for Jesus. Wow! God did it!
Ashley did not want to stay in the morning. The enemy had a grip on her but, the blood of Jesus broke the yoke. She was involved in gangs. Not anymore! God released her! She accepted Jesus as her savior. She now continues to attend church.
Steven came with a big burden on his shoulders, but he decided to trust Jesus after hearing that there is hope and purpose in HIM.
The youth had a wonderful experience during the retreat connecting and reconnecting with the Lord and each other. Among other things they understood that the choices they make today will make an impact in their life. They also were told that the best decision in life is to follow Jesus because “The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places”. (Habakkuk 3:19 KJV)
